President's Corner...

Kevin Zobrist

ANREP President 2025

Another new year has arrived. Embarking on the next spin around the sun affords us a chance to reflect on where we have been and what awaits. Thus, the beginning of the year finds many of us making and updating goals for the months ahead. I have never made new year’s resolutions, but I have picked up the practice of writing down personal and professional goals, as research has shown that written goals are more likely to be achieved. Goals play a big role in Extension, of course, and many of us are required by our institutions to formalize performance goals each year. I usually achieve quite a few of my goals. Invariably, though, there are those that languish on the list, still waiting to be traced across with that magnificent cross-off line that feels oh so good to draw...

Help judge the 2025 ANREP Awards

We need about 30 judges to evaluate this year's award nominations!

Please help us with this. Your task will consist of reviewing 1-2 awards categories, and 4-8 award nominations generally over two - three weeks in March. This is a great opportunity to see what your colleagues around the country are up to while helping out your professional organization. If you are new to ANREP it is also a great way to see how to write up a nomination if you plan to nominate yourself or a colleague in the future. But wait there is more! You can put this as a service position on your CV.

Now that you can’t wait to sign up, please email Catelyn Turner to get your name on the list. The more judges that sign up, the fewer awards each of us have to review.
